Ombud is looking for a Platform Developer who can make an immediate impact building scalable, distributed systems that empower organizations to make intelligent decisions. You will work in the heart of downtown Denver with a small, agile team of developers to deliver new features and improvements to our product. We are looking for experienced and passionate developers who want to make a difference while collaborating in an entrepreneurial, startup environment that prioritizes our team and user community.

What You’ll Do: 

• Explore and prototype new technologies 
• Build scalable, distributed systems 
• Build report interfaces and data feeds
• Write, refine, and ship efficient and scalable code
• API design, implementation and improvement for use internally and externally by third party applications
• Contribute to design and development of an incredible user experience

About You:

• 6+ years of experience with JavaScript, NodeJS, or production-tested polyglot fluency
• 4+ years of experience scaling production applications that are used by thousands of users daily
• Prior experience with both Relational and NoSQL databases, including migrations
• Experience in API Design, used both internally and externally by third party applications
• Experience with event logging, analytics, data warehousing, and time series database
• Aptitude for building scalable, distributed systems
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
