Job Requirements
As a Performance Test Engineer on NetApp SolidFire’s Performance Engineering Team, you will work as part of an innovative, fun, and growing team responsible for development, testing, and analysis of our Hyper Converged Infrastructure products.

What will you do:
- Execute, monitor, and report on performance tests for storage and compute nodes to ensure product performance targets are achieved
- Triage test failures and work with closely with team members to resolve product or infrastructure issues
- Configure and maintain remotely located performance lab systems including storage and compute nodes, virtual machines, and network switches
- Assist with creating performance test plans for software stack releases
- Assist with automated performance test development and our transition to Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) framework
- Assist with evaluation of design alternatives and prototypes to assess product performance impacts
- Work on additional tasks and responsibilities that will contribute towards team, department, and company goals
Education
You have:
- Knowledge of computer architecture, operating systems (Linux preferred), and hypervisors
- Ability and willingness to work both independently and collaboratively within a diverse team environment
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Bachelor of Science or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science or related technical discipline; or equivalent experience is required
- 0-2 years of experience
You might also have:
- Proficiency in Python or C++
- Knowledge of data storage systems
- Knowledge of system performance testing or benchmarking tools
- Experience with statistics, data analysis, or data visualization tools
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum/SAFe frameworks
