Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Driving performance related initiatives (framework definition, best practices and KPI’s) across multiple domains including server applications, commerce engines, and ERP systems
• Define, develop and conduct performance tests on critical functionality, isolating bottlenecks, and fine-tuning performance, reliability, and scalability
• Creating comprehensive benchmark tests for identifying application and system performance
• Analyzing results and provides comprehensive reporting and works closely with solution architects, developers and operations team to log defects for performance requirements that are not met
• Taking a holistic / integrational view of the system, providing code review, and optimizing code execution

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• 7+ years of working in performance optimization or application architecture with 2+ years working in a lead capacity
• 5+ years of experience using automated test tools for Functional and/or Performance, Stability, Scalability, and Reliability testing using LoadRunner, WebTest, JMeter, Fit, FitNesse, Ruby, Soasta or others
• Hands-on experience with performance monitoring tools such as New Relic APM, App Dynamics, mPulse, Compuware APM, Akamai, Soasta.
• Server side and Front-end development (.NET, Java, Javascript, Angular, etc.)
• Caching strategies, design patterns, design principles, etc.
• Cloud performance optimization
• Creative and independent problem solver

PREFERRRED SKILLS / EDUCATION

• 8 years of related experience with a 4 year college degree; or 6 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent experience
• Understanding of PCI compliance and direct eCommerce website experience
• Hands on experience utilizing and customizing a CMS driven website (Sitecore)
• Experience with Solr, Docker, Hybris, Unity
• Experience with scripting in PowerShell or Python
• Experience with the RAIL Model
