The Network Engineering Team’s mission is to empower engineers to be able to architect, deploy and manage applications by providing the core underlying network infrastructure and services.

Shutterstock’s Network Engineering team is looking for a talented and motivated Network Engineering professional to join the team. As a Senior Network Engineer at Shutterstock you will be responsible for designing and maintaining the network infrastructure and service hosting across multiple sites. Candidates will be expected to mentor other team members as well as present technical solutions to broad audiences including non-technical staff. Both Management and Technical tracks are available to accommodate individual career goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and support of Enterprise network across multiple sites
  • Provide support and mentoring to junior team members
  • Work with other departments on solution design and deployment
  • Propose and manage network automation/integration tools
  • Troubleshoot and determine root-causes for network events

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in a Network Engineering role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Linux OS experience
  • Scripting experience with Python and Ruby
  • 2+ years JunOS experience
  • Expert in TCP, IPv4 and related protocols
  • Extensive experience with BGP, OSPF
  • Experience with RADIUS, SNMP and other network management services
  • Strong understanding of Hardware platforms and Data Center deployment
  • Strong understanding of Firewall, Load balancer and VPN solutions
  • Experience managing public and private DNS solutions
  • Experience troubleshooting stateful packet flows

Bonus Skills:

  • A10 Load balancing platform, aFleX scripting
  • Strong understanding of multiple client and server Operating Systems
  • Experience with ISIS, EIGRP, MPLS and Routed Access Layer design
  • Understanding of the NETCONF protocol
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent certifications
