Job Description

CapTech .NET Engineers deliver solutions for clients that include mobile Windows Phone and Store Enterprise Apps, internal ASP.NET MVC web applications, public facing responsive/reactive html5 based web sites built from the ground up, or on top of products such as Site Core, SharePoint, and back end Web API services. Our .NET Engineers also make use of cloud services and platforms such as Windows Azure where appropriate for both the client solution and the development process.

Specific responsibilities for the .NET Engineer position include:

  • Understand the challenges being addressed by an engagement and collaborate with team members and clients to deliver a technical solution that meets the unique needs of our clients.
  • Create quality deliverables to communicate technical solutions to appropriate audiences.
  • Design, develop, unit test, and deploy software features on Microsoft platforms.
  • Provide detailed estimates for features built using Microsoft technologies.
  • Leverage CapTech’s internal programs and self-directed training to continually develop industry relevant knowledge and skills.
  • Provide technical mentoring and leadership to more junior resources.

Qualifications

Specific qualifications for the .NET Engineer position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4+ years of experience in Solution, Design and Development of applications using .Net framework
  • Demonstrated experience in Web development using ASP.NET MVC, C#, and the Entity Framework, RESTful API development using Web API and Swagger, Database development using a database such as SQL Server or Mongo DB, Front end development using Javascript, CSS, and popular libraries such as Angular, Bootstrap, Backbone, or Knockout
  • Comprehensive experience using Visual Studio
  • Familiarity with multi-system integration and common issues that can arise when integrating enterprise technologies
  • Ability to present technical ideas and high-level concepts and solutions to internal and external team members with varying degrees of technical knowledge
  • Understanding of performance testing and optimization techniques
