.Net Developer (ASP.Net and C#)

Salary Range
$95k to $115k depending on experience
The Applications Developer II/Analyst, will design, develop, test, and implement software changes in a distributed applications environment, according to existing software standards. Individuals in this job work as part of a team on mid-sized projects, and independently on smaller efforts. These efforts include the maintenance and enhancement of legacy in-house applications, including ASP.net Web Forms applications, thick-client C# .Net Windows Forms applications, and C# .Net REST based Web Services. You will work in a sophisticated agile software production environment, using tools such as Jira, GitHub, SmartGit, Jenkins, PLSQL, and Confluence.
What You Will Do
- Plan and coordinate with the team, using agile software development methodologies and Jira
- Utilize source control tool, GitHub/SmartGit, to move your software through development, testing, and into production
- Write code for web applications using ASP.Net Web Forms, which includes HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL, and third party software from DevExpress
- Write code for thick-client .Net Windows Forms applications, which include C#, SQL, and third party software from DevExpress
- Write code for .Net applications interfacing with an Oracle database, including creating and maintaining SQL
- Maintain and enhance C# .Net REST based Web Services
- Write clean code and obtain appropriate code reviews prior to implementing production code
- Contribute to design of various size projects including collaboration with Solutions Architecture
- Provide support for systems and applications with assistance as needed
- Handle critical problems with supervision
- Manage small to medium size projects from analysis through implementation
- Maintain appropriate documentation
- Make suggestions for improving development processes
- Work with vendors with supervision
- Pursue formal and informal educational opportunities to expand knowledge and improve skills
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
- Understand and comply with all provisions of the Safety in the Workplace policy
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Good verbal and written communication skills

- Demonstrated ability to define, design, code, test and implement efficient, quality code for small and medium projects
- Technical understanding of FirstBank’s distributed applications environments
- Good understanding of object-oriented technology
- Working knowledge of one of FirstBank’s key software development languages for distributed applications such as, C#, Java, or JavaScript
- Working knowledge of SQL, Web Services, and LDAP
- Working knowledge of information security concepts and techniques as they apply to application development
- Working knowledge of common change control processes
Minimum Requirements
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in related field and a minimum of 2 years of related experience
- A combination of post-high school education, job related certification and related experience equivalent to 5 years may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
- Experience working in an agile software development environment
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Frequently remains stationary throughout a typical business day
- Frequently operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
- Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and other rooms
