We are seeking an experienced Mobile Technical Lead to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and for the planet.

What you get to do:

We are searching for a Mobile Technical Lead who is passionate about our customers and new incubation offerings as we build a new foundation for the clean energy software ecosystem. You’ll work inside Step Change Labs (Uplight’s innovation and incubation arm) in close partnership with our Chief Innovation Officer and product teams to guide the creation of our data needs for our new product offerings. Your primary focus will be the creation of innovative mobile applications in both the iOS and Android ecosystems. These applications will need to have a focus on a customer experience that empowers users to lower their carbon footprint. And you’ll work on a great team, dedicated to building the next generation of ideas in the energy ecosystem.

• Not be afraid to dig into hard problems, and enjoy experimenting to come up with simple, elegant solutions
• Work with other teams in collaboration with technical design and code reviews.  

What you bring to Uplight:

• A love of collaborative problem solving and a deep desire to be an excellent teammate
• You are an experienced developer - you ideally have 3-7 years of professional experience
• Native mobile application development experience, including consumer-facing applications
• Google Cloud Platform or other cloud service provider experience
• 3-5+ years building and managing mobile SDKs to industry-accepted standards
• Demonstrable experience with writing unit and functional tests and leading others in software development best practices
• Application of industry security best practices to application and system development
• Experience working with large data sets in RDBMS, preferably PostgreSQL
• Ability to deliver against several initiatives simultaneously
• BS in Computer Science / Engineering, or demonstrable industry experience
• Experience mentoring peers and leading technical teams through the decision making
• Enjoy collaborating with Product team members on new and exciting products

Salary Range: $118,000 to $137,000 (dependent upon experience)
