DESCRIPTION

Join us in creating the platform and applications used to tackle the world's largest energy and carbon emissions problems with buildee. simuwatt has invested over $3M in public and private capital in developing software to improve energy efficiency in commercial buildings. We are now building out our platform and team to enable a broad market to leverage the power of our platform. The simuwatt engineering team is a small, close-knit group that values independent thought and diversity. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of their work and is willing to grow their skillset as the platform matures.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Collaborate on a small engineering team and provide project management on new products
Creating a compelling user experience
Focus on front-end code while also contributing some back-end code
Writing integration and unit tests for your code (we are a small team!)

WHAT YOU NEED

2+ years experience developing web applications and engaging user interfaces
Experience with UI development and creating semantic UI components
Strong knowledge of modern ES6 Javascript
Strong knowledge of ReactJS with Redux

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

GraphQL/Apollo experience
Docker/containerization experience
Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience
Agile development experience (we use JIRA)
