About Role

As a Software Engineering Manager in the SolidFire Central Engineering team, you will work as part of a truly innovative, fun, and growing team responsible for developing, testing, and delivering automated services and tools to enable a DevOps culture across our SolidFire Product Development organization.

What You Will Do:

  • Recruit, retain, lead, and inspire our engineering teams 

  • Provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment 

  • Coach and mentor your team for impactful learning and growth in their career 

  • Build and promote a work environment for high performance that is highly collaborative and team-oriented 

  • Collaborate with leadership team to achieve higher-level company objectives 

About You

You have: 

  • A track record of "followership" - people want to work with you 

  • Experience with DevOps concepts such as Configuration Management, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code, and the tools that get us there 

  • Proven track record of hiring, growing, and nurturing cohesive, high-performing teams 

  • Ability to work with external partners, cross-functional teams, and inter-company partners 

  • 5+ years experience managing and leading teams in a high-growth, fast-paced engineering organization 

  • A degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field 

You might also have: 

  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or other containerized architecture technologies 

  • DevOps, Network, or Infrastructure management experience in an enterprise linux environment 

  • Experience with Agile frameworks like SAFe
