The Marketing Operations Engineer has an eye for analytics, understands the everchanging digital marketing landscape and strives to keep up with and surpass trends. They should constantly be working to grow their knowledge and proficiencies as it relates to their current role and where they see the industry evolving. The Marketing Operations Engineer will be aware and competent in the Google Marketing Platform (e.g. Analytics, Data Studio, Tag Manager), Marketing Automation Platforms (i.e. Marketo), and Javascript, HTML, Mark-up, and CSS. They should feel comfortable researching and driving change to the status quo. 

Essential Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):

  • Be the resident Javascript, HTML, Mark-up, and CSS expert on the team – own requirements, success criteria and best practices for building within current and future Marketing Operations tech stack
  • Work with the larger Marketing Operations team and stakeholders to build, maintain and advance current and future tools, programs and their functionality
  • Contribute to the growth strategy of Search Engine Marketing, to include SEO
  • Evolve our existing Google Marketing Platform as new treads, features and functionalities are launched
  • Maintain and advance the current reporting features functionalities to build awareness around tools, tactics, and trends

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • 2+ years with experience on a marketing operations team or other relative experience
  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing, or a related field of study
  • Has an understanding of Wordpress and knows how to modify and create plugins and/or themes.
  • Strong project management skills, ability to multitask, and manage multiple projects in a cross-functional work environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Proficiency in Javascript, HTML, Mark-up, and CSS
  • Basic graphic design experience. E.g. Adobe Suite; Photoshop
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects in response to shifting priorities
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven attention to detail

Required Education & Certifications:

  • B.S./B.A. degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred
