You will be a key member of the Risk & Compliance Team, helping us discovery new and innovative ways to help us combine our different datasets and capabilities utilizing a geospatial platform to enable our customers to answer the "what" the "why" and the "where".
As part of the Product team you will partner with our Subject Matter Experts to create new opportunities for our unique data driven solutions and drive new revenue by leading the development of a new geospatial foundational capability. You will be expected to be as comfortable working deep in our data and solutions with the end users to define and create value for them, while leading a junior engineering team growing their geospatial skills.
Duties & accountabilities

• You will be an expert supporting teams spanning maritime data, domain awareness and defence/intelligence requirements
• Leading the development of a new geospatial platform integrating new products and legacy data
• Contribute to the maintenance and updating of maritime & trade data and models, ensuring that all characteristics are properly understood and communicated
• You will be responsible for architecture, design and implementation of a geospatial data management system with a stable foundation to ingest data from multiple sources, process and disseminate at the speed of the data.
• Prior skills developing talent and leading a junior team are required

Education & experience

• Expected to have experience in working with complex data sets in the maritime domain and more than 5 years of experience with working knowledge of Kubernetes, AWS services, Solace Event Broker, and Python/NodeJS microservices to provide time-series/geospatial analysis, filtered data retrieval, and system monitoring
• Should be comfortable working sales and product management with periodic senior technical customer interfacing
• Experience leading a small development team
• Seen as a "go-to" expert in terms of their areas of expertise and has significant personal credibility both internally and externally
• Must be able to work collaboratively with product management and colleagues to define solutions and is capable of acting as an escalation point when required by other team members
• Must be able to work collaboratively across multi discipline teams to lead projects from start to finish. Additionally, must be able to operate autonomously without the need for guidance or direction
