Downtown Denver-based luxury vacation company seeks a dynamic service-oriented professional who is highly-organized and has experience catering to affluent clientele from around the world. The ideal candidate has experience with creating and executing end-to-end manual and automated tests as QA point person on a scrum team. The best candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of best practices for software quality assurance, great people skills, and is extremely detail-oriented.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a champion for quality throughout the software development process
  • Collaborate with product owners, project managers, and software engineers to understand system requirements, use cases, and performance considerations
  • Document, maintain and execute test scenarios for new and existing features
  • Log, prioritize and track defects in a clear and concise manner
  • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis of production issues and act to mitigate against future occurrences

Required Skills: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Software Testing Expertise – Must display proven expertise in creating and executing test plans and test cases
  • Product Quality Ownership – Must show proven ability to take ownership of all quality aspects of software applications/features
  • Attention to Detail – Must be extremely detail-oriented and focused
  • Problem Solving – Must be able to solve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully and efficiently; and work well in group problem-solving situations
  • Communication Skills - Must be able to communicate effectively and in a concise manner, both verbally and in writing
  • Adaptability - Adapt to changes in the work environment; manages competing for demands; changes approach or method to best fit the situation; able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events, appreciates the opportunity to adjust and adapt with a growing business

Qualifications: Candidate must meet the following qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a software testing role
  • A degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with defect tracking tools is required (Jira preferred)
  • Experience with writing SQL queries is preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting/debugging using profiling and logging tools such as Splunk or Sumo is preferred (Sumo preferred)
  • Experience with API testing tools is preferred (Postman preferred)
