Opportunity
You will be responsible for leading and coordinating software development activities and personnel throughout the product development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have leadership skills that develop engineers at all levels, possess previous experience delivering highly reliable, and an ability to directly contribute to innovative product development.
Responsibilities

- Able to get the most out of your team by mentoring and organizing talent on the team
- Leading the design and implementation of new features that increase scalability
- Deliver a rewrite of a successful product that meets customers’ demands for increased scale and new use cases
- Delivering working code from the team with high quality in a TDD environment
- Sets aggressive but realistic milestones that can be achieved with confidence from the team.
- Giving demos to your team and the engineering department
- Working to continuously improve the team in terms of agile practices, quality practices and clean coding practices.
- Effectively managing improvement in the delivery of engineering practices within the group
- Collaborating with your Product Owner in an Agile environment to ensure that the product roadmap and engineering are aligned.
- Work with the team to create a technical maturity roadmap for the team
Qualifications
- Must have experience as a manager of a software development team delivering scalable enterprise class software applications in an agile environment
- Passionate Agile advocate that will support driving the engineering organization towards maximizing that methodology.
- Experience with a language where you utilized interfaces, code patterns, inheritance models, garbage collection, multi-threading, networking.
- Open and clear communicator that demonstrates transparency and consistency with their messaging.
- Working knowledge of distributed architectures.
- Track record of being empathetic while holding the team accountable for deliverables
- High level of emotional intelligence
