Evolve is looking for a Manager of Software Engineering to provide leadership and direction for a team of bright and ambitious Salesforce engineers. You will be part of an innovative organization with highly motivated engineers who tackle challenging and impactful problems. You will identify, hire and build a world-class team of Engineers to define, drive and execute this vision. You define software architecture, communicating effectively with engineers, product managers, leaders, and a broad set of stakeholders. You will initiate processes that allow the team to collaborate with Product Managers, Experience Designers, and other stakeholders with a high degree of efficiency.

What you’ll do

  • Responsible for the overall development life cycle of the solution and managing complex projects with significant impact.
  • Have a strong voice in building and executing technology roadmaps. Manage strategic and tactical direction of the Salesforce platform and integrations to other systems.
  • Lead system assessments, negotiations and oversee implementations, including project management, change management and issue management.
  • Manage Salesforce account and third party vendors.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions by working closely with senior engineers and steering the team to make smart architecture choices leading to the development of scalable systems.
  • Identify skills needed to achieve the team’s goals, hire and develop a world-class team and balance the work based on team members’ skills and experience.
  • Ensure the teams deliver high-quality software within tight timelines by instilling best practices for software design, development, and documentation.
  • Oversee prioritization and planning of projects and features, monitor progress of development work to meet timelines, and manage stakeholders.
  • Protect the team from shifting priorities and scope creeps, and respectfully say No to projects that do not meet the team’s strategy or help achieve team and company goals.
  • Drive Operational Excellence - monitoring & operation of production services.

What makes you a great fit 

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Salesforce experience, including 3+ years of experience in leading strong teams.
  • Strong knowledge of the Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud).
  • Experience with Apex Code (Triggers, Controllers, Batch Classes), VF pages, and Lightning Platform (AURA/LWC Framework), SOQL, and declarative automation and configuration.
  • Firm understanding of object-oriented design principles, patterns and best practices. 
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
  • Hired, developed, and managed a team of 7+ engineers.
  • Highly accountable team player with a “get things done” attitude.
  • Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and business stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Salesforce certification or equivalent number of years of experience.
  • Experience with system integrations and middleware such as AWS, Boomi, Web Services, APIs.
  • Experience collaborating with DevOps teams to optimize code and deploy processes.
  • Experience using data to analyze and prioritize needs.

Location 

Evolve has a flexible working environment so teammates can work remotely anywhere in the state of Colorado, in our beautiful downtown Denver office, remotely or a hybrid of both! As we grow, we are working towards opening remote opportunities across the entire U.S. We currently are able to hire across the U.S except in the following locations: California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, New Jersey, New Mexico, and Pennsylvania.

Compensation

Annual base salary range: $122,000- $200,000, depending on relevant experience.  This role will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on both company and individual performance.

Additional compensation details: 

Equity 50% of salary equivalent RSUs

Variable compensation: 10% of salary target
