We are currently seeking an experienced Software Engineering Test Manager to manage and lead a team of talented engineers focused on Certification and Interoperability (Cert and IOP) testing for our product line.  This is a great opportunity to lead a high ­powered team delivering an industry­ changing product within an extremely high ­growth sector of the tech industry.

 More specific responsibilities include:

• Hiring and professional development of the team, with a focus on improving test efficiency and test effectiveness
• Build and promote a work environment that is highly collaborative and team ­centric
• Set performance expectations for individual employees and monitor their success in meeting these goals
• Work very closely with program partners to represent team and create/deliver on release plans
• Ensure that all team deliverables are understood and delivered with the highest of quality
• Work collaboratively with development and other QE teams to improve the quality of SolidFire products
• Operational excellence around test planning, design, automation, execution and reporting
• Manage test automation effort of the team
• Be a key contributor to bring to fruition the quality vision of the organization

Qualifications

About You:

You have a strong aptitude for and experience in testing complex, enterprise level software products. Additional attributes for success include:

• 3+ years experience leading test teams of 10+ engineers in a high­ growth, fast ­paced SW engineering environment
• Experience working with external partners, Microsoft, Cisco, VMWare, etc.
• Demonstrated understanding of the full software development life cycle with expertise in the quality life cycle
• Experience or working knowledge of Agile/Scrum and SAFe
• Prior experience with Software for enterprise storage, networking, virtualization or security products
• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field/ equivalent experience

Job Summary

Software QA Engineering Mgmt: Directs the activities of a software quality assurance function. Develops quality standards for company products and oversees the development and execution of software test plans and analysis of test results. Provides guidance in the preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages and systems, computational software, and related technology. May oversee the integration of computers in the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition transmission, and processing. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Education

BS/BA degree or equivalent related experience. 8+ years -- plus add additional experience requirements needed if you were to fill an open requisition, i.e., knowledge, skills, and abilities.
