Manager, DevOps
As a key member of the product development leadership team, you will lead the development and technical strategy for our DevOps infrastructure, processes and organization. This includes leading the build-out of our continuous delivery infrastructure and processes for our products utilizing state of the art technologies, the operational and security monitoring and care of the infrastructure and software platforms. You and your teams will serve as the liaison between the agile development teams, SaaS operations, and external cloud providers for deployment, operational efficiency, security, and business continuity.
You will lead a team of amazing engineers, providing leadership on design, architecture, technology selections, strategy and continuous improvement. We expect you to be an accomplished engineer, have strong hands on technical experience and deep knowledge in one or more areas of distributed systems and enterprise web delivery platforms. We are looking for a strong DevOps manager that has:
• Excellent problem-solving\troubleshooting skills
• A strong focus and understanding of continuousimprovement
• 5-8 years professional experience as a DevOps manager
• Experience managing operational issues
• A proven track record in leading architecture, design,development and operations of enterprise scale web delivery platforms, productsand services in a high performance and high-availability SaaS environment
• Experience with AWS technologies
• Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code)
• Experience with common configuration management toolssuch as: Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• Strong understanding and experience working with Unix and Linux operatingsystems; specifically troubleshooting and providing administration
• Experience with operating and tuning relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience with heavy system automation/scripting(Python)
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and micro services
• Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools such as ELK Stack (Elasticsearch,Logstash, and Kibana)
• Knowledge of IP networking, VPN's, DNS, load balancing and firewalling
• Solid experience with Java/open source stacks, as well as common frameworksand infrastructure
• Ability to influence across boundaries and at all levels of the organization
• Ability to create a fun, fast paced, motivating and rewarding environment fortheir teams and the organization
• Ability to attract, build and retain a highly engaged and capable developmentteams that can deliver on our technology and business strategies
• Strong people management skills: attracting, retaining, inspiring and growingindividuals; demonstrate a passion for people development and mobility
