Manager of DevOps at Pax8 (Remote)
The Manager of DevOps oversees a team of engineers who contribute to the architecture, development, automation, testing, and maintenance of our software infrastructure. They manage and coordinate the people, resources, and processes required to develop and maintain our infrastructure. The Manager provides mentorship to their direct reports and assists with their development. They remove obstacles so that their team can attain optimal performance. They Manager provides direct leadership in delivering all projects of the team and assisting throughout any production issues.
Essential Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):- Develops, coaches, mentors, and trains DevOps Engineers – this includes making hiring decisions, evaluating performance, giving feedback at weekly 1:1’s and effectively running meetings
- Leads projects to completion by managing the availability and capacity of team resources, removing roadblocks and constraints, and assisting team with troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issue in project work and the Production environment
- Oversees DevOps processes and procedures while providing technical advice during planning of complex solutions
- Contributes to project work
- Documents solutions so that information can be easily disseminated to the DevOps and engineering team
- At least five (5) to ten (10) years of experience supporting the architecture, development, automation, testing, and maintenance of software infrastructure
- At least two (2) years of experience managing a team, or completion of the Aspiring Leaders Program through Pax8 University
- Solid experience in Site Reliability Engineering
- Experience with Agile methodology

- Ability to consistently achieve results, even under tough circumstances
- Ability to gain the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity
- B.S./B.A. degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $140,000 or more depending on experience
