We are looking for a hands-on Cloud Security Engineering Manager to create the vision and develop the reality for Snapdocs security architecture. We are tackling the $1.75 trillion U.S. mortgage market, developing modern software for an industry that still relies on fax machines and manila envelopes. We bring security, efficiency, and ultimately a better home buying experience to a paper-based pillar of the US economy.

In this critical role in the Security organization, you will develop the vision and the architecture to implement a capability driven, highly automated approach to our security operations and our overall information security stance and program. You will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on Cloud Security architecture, Standards, and Response for Snapdocs. You will develop standards, policies, and procedures and provide best practice documentation. You will be a key player in translating security and technical requirements into product & business requirements and communicate security risks to different audiences ranging from business leaders to engineers. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team in implementing and operating Cyber Security controls for Snapdocs. You will continue to manage and grow the Cloud Security Engineering team.

Our ideal candidate will have 6-8 years’ experience in cloud security with a deep understanding of various technologies in the security domain along with 2+ years of team management experience. Experience in financial, fintech, or mortgage space is highly preferred. You are passionate about DevSecOps, with an accomplished background in secure architecture, software engineering, and strong exposure to cloud platform security practices. You have a broad understanding of Information Security frameworks and methodologies (NIST, AWS Security Best Practices, CIS), deep knowledge of Security standards for SaaS environments, specifically AWS, and experience in containerized, serverless environments: EKS, Docker. You are familiar with SIEM systems, vendors, and implementations. CCSK, CCSP, CISM, AWS Solutions, or Security Certifications are desirable. A successful person in this role will be an individual who is an avid problem solver with a background in systems design, architecture, and compliance and is one who loves an environment focused on automation and efficiency in security engineering practice excellence, code reviews, and regular pairing. Ability to lead both directly and cross-functionally (this role will touch every piece of the organization), patience, a bias for action (we’re a startup), presentation skills, and attention to detail (of course!), will be the foundational attributes that will set you up for success in this role.
