Zoom is in search of a Machine Learning Engineer for its Trust & Safety Engineering (T&S Engineering) team.
T&S handles fraud, complaints of abuse on the platform (such as meeting disruptions), responds to global law enforcement requests, carries out Zoom's export control program, and is building Zoom's arsenal of tools to combat abuse both before and after it happens.

Engineers on the T&S team manage the entire software development lifecycle. With a motivated mindset, our team builds scalable tools and systems to prevent abuse from happening on Zoom, while supporting Zoom's Trust & Safety mission of keeping its users safe.
You will be part of a T&S Engineering team whose focus on ml models if you are passionate about ML and DL technologies and building reputation models for account evaluation and predictive models for detection in area such as ATO, Fraud, etc.
- Partner with Product and several additional teams to translate high-level roadmap vision into sensible feature specifications and deliverables, while reporting to your Hiring Manager, and assisting in the building of a variety of tools and services
- Work closely with data engineers and other engineering teams on data analysis, data preparation, and data preprocessing
- Research, experiment, and evaluate statistical and machine learning techniques to develop ML models with instincts that satisfy our requirements and security policies
- Train, evaluate, and validate ML models using cloud computing platforms.
- Serve trained models as prediction services into the production environment.
- Follow MLOps best practices to develop and maintain machine learning pipelines that can automate the retraining and deployment of new models
Qualifications:
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related fields
- 3+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years focus on Machine Learning
- Fundamentals in Linear Algebra, Statistics and Machine Learning
- Proficiency in Python or Java
- Experience on ML models and algorithms such as anomaly detection, clustering, multi-class classification with booster algorithms
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with common ML libraries, such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch and data visualization tools, such as Matplotlib and Seaborn
- Knowledge and experience on SQL and NoSQL database
- Knowledge of and experienced with cloud computing and big data platform, such as AWS, Spark, Flink, Hadoop, Hive
- Passion for learning and continued self-development
