Hotel Engine is eager to add a Lead Software Engineer - Node.js, to our growing Engineering Org! In this role, you'll be guiding architectural decisions, developing and maintaining an internal set of systems and tools, mentoring and shaping mid and junior-level engineers, and building out integrations with third parties. The Lead Software Engineering role is a leadership position, and your day-to-day will consist of managing projects, working closely with the Product department, and driving architectural patterns by getting your hands dirty in the code. The ideal candidate for this position loves JavaScript and has a history of working on scaleable production APIs in the Node.js runtime. In this role, you will continue to write and maintain code with the additional responsibilities of representing your team to management, vetting plans for feature delivery, and dealing with the details of the project management process. This role includes managing a team, so the ideal candidate is comfortable running regular (weekly) 1:1's, giving frequent feedback on career growth/goals, and working with reports to identify growth opportunities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and understands how to communicate well with a team through written and verbal conversations.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- 3+ years leading a team or equivalent technical management experience.
Cash compensation:
- The base salary range for this role starts at $140,000-$160,000/year. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise & may vary from the amount above.
