Job Description

We are looking for a Data focused Software Engineer Team Lead, responsibilities will include maintaining existing data stores and applications, interfacing with external data sources, building scalable and robust data ingestion and processing pipelines.

Responsibilities  

  • Mentor Team Members

  • Work with business to gather requirements

  • Architect Software solutions from business requirements

  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use

  • Build and maintain data stores that support our main business

  • Optimize datastores for maximum speed and scalability

  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

  • Ensure code standards are followed and the codebase is tested using automated test frameworks

  • Create/Maintain data analytics tools for gathering insights on our data

Skills And Qualifications

  • 2-3 years leadership experience

  • Deep understanding of web applications

  • Deep understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases, preferably MongoDB and Postgresql

  • Deep understanding of data processing stacks

  • Experience with AWS or GCP

  • Experience working with and building scalable data ingestion/data processing pipelines from the ground up.

  • Gives a shit about quality code and building something awesome.

  • 6+ years experience with Java, Scala, or another JVM based language.

  • Solid understanding of RabbitMQ

  • Experience working in an agile environment
