What you'll do

The Lead Quality Assurance Engineer will help lead our product engineering teams to help build, test & deliver features for our software-as-a-service (SaaS) eCommerce products. You will need to be collaborative and influential across our Agile teams, working closely with Dev, Product, DevOps and others to evolve our manual testing efforts and increase our automation coverage, while contribute to our Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines and processes. You will serve as a "voice of QA" to ensure we are delivering high-quality products.

 

  • Work with and help lead distributed teams leveraging Scrum techniques to deliver high-quality releases 
  • Create test data, test plan, test cases and automated scripts to ensure quality for web client & server applications and mobile application.
  • Perform web, API, UI, functional, regression, smoke, black box, load, performance and end-to-end testing
  • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for the product testing team
  • Work with other product organizations to design and organize cross-product system tests
  • Write and/or modify SQL queries to perform database validations
  • Document test cases, write and reproduce accurate software problem reports, and implement process improvements
  • Identify, document, and track all software defects to closure
  • Work with functional teams in reducing error rates and perform root cause analysis of errors/trends
  • Responsible for evaluating testing requirements, creating test specifications, prioritization of tests, and test automation using existing framework.

What you'll bring to the team

  • Ability to establish and evolve QA and QC processes and standards, and introduce best practices while incorporating modern technology/tooling to improve results
  • Ability to ensure full product health and test coverage with a focus on test automation, regression testing, QA metrics, and defect prevention
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to triage complex system issues and propose solutions
  • Ability to provide technical mentoring to members of the team
  • Proven ability to work with on-site/offshore software development teams
  • Experienced in acting as the focal point of contact for all release-related activities, tasks, and metrics for concurrent releases
  • Ability to leverage a variety of languages, frameworks, tools and techniques for REST API and UI test automation - Selenium Webdriver, Postman and/or Java strongly preferred
  • DevOps mindset with an understanding of CI/CD practices and tooling
  • Experienced in defining test data strategies that lead to faster and optimized test development
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain code repositories, preferably using BitBucket
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and services such as CloudWatch, S3, EKS, and/or EMR nice-to-have

Location

Our Denver office is located just east of downtown, several miles from Denver Intl Airport. Our Boulder office is on Arapahoe Ave by Boulder Creek.
