Job Description

As part of this mission, we are dedicated to growing our technology team to evolve our back office to support increasing levels of engagement with our customers. We are searching for a Junior iOS developer that will play a key role towards this goal.

You will contribute to the expansion of our Cantara Mobility platform as new products emerge, and existing systems evolve. You will be asked to design, develop and maintain applications and related technologies in support of the organization’s mobility platforms for our enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Become a part of development team to design and build iOS mobile applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, design, and ship new features
  • Build and publish applications
  • Work with Product team or Operations team stakeholders to understand and capture project requirements
  • Work with the Software Development manager to deliver projects

Key Requirements:

  • Recent graduate / final year student in a relevant tertiary qualification: degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology with a Software Engineering focus
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability with the understanding to see the implications of solution decisions
  • Good working knowledge of software development methodologies and the understanding of how to apply those methodologies in a practical way
  • Good understanding of software standards, software development life cycle and methodologies.
  • Direct experience using RESTful API’s, JSON, Git (GitHub/Bitbucket)
  • Understanding of MVC and similar architecture patterns

Not required but it would be an advantage to have knowledge of iOS, Android, or Web Development

  • Knowledge of Swift and iOS SDK
  • Knowledge of Java and Android SDK
  • Knowledge of Front-End technologies and platforms (Angular, Node.js, Ajax, and JQuery)
  • Knowledge of continuous integration technologies (Maven (Guava), Jenkins, Sonar)
  • Knowledge of Responsive Design techniques
  • UI & UX experience

Education Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary education: degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology (or in Final Year 2019)
