Junior Full Stack Engineer

We sell our SaaS platform services to real estate agents, lenders and loan servicers as a way to keep customers engaged long after the sale is complete. Our customers love us and we love them! 

The Homebot family is growing rapidly and we are looking for two junior engineers to join the team! You’ll be jumping in on all parts of our apps, helping out with a range of tasks and learning from a solid team of engineers. Starting out, you’ll be balancing some QA automation with general full stack development.

Characteristics of an Incredible Homebot Jr. Full Stack Engineer:

  • Quick learner and happy to help wherever needed!
  • Passionate about programming with a strong desire to innovate and learn
  • Team player with a willingness to wear multiple hats
  • Not afraid to tackle big unknowns, while taking feedback, direction and ideas on the strategy
  • Strong understanding of the value of writing tests. Testing should be a regular part of everything you do

What You’ll Do:

  • Work on all sorts of tasks and features - Rails and Node APIs, React and Ember Frontends
  • Write end to end tests around new and existing features in Javascript and Ruby
  • Collaborate with other team members through code reviews and occasional pair programming
  • Quickly troubleshoot and address critical bugs as they arise
  • Helping maintain code quality, organization and automation

 Experience & Qualifications: 

  • Recent graduate from a coding school or college with a related degree
  • Ruby on Rails, React, Postgres experience
  • 1 or more years of professional engineering experience is a big plus

Bonus if:

  • You are familiar with Real Estate and/or Mortgage Lending and the different stakeholders involved with homeownership
  • Experience with DevOps tools like Docker
  • You’re applying with a peer that you know in and out and have experience knocking out big projects with
