Left Hand Robotics was founded in 2016 in Longmont, Colorado with a mission to help property managers, municipalities, universities and contractors alike become more efficient.  By designing commercial-class smart robots that work autonomously, Left Hand Robotics allows businesses to do more with existing resources. We enable our customers to complete jobs faster, so they can take on more projects. In turn, our customers see an increase in revenue and a reduction in cost.

What You Will Do:

In this position you will be able to grow your career, have a voice/input and work on interesting and challenging problems within the robotics industry. 

You will be writing the code that runs in our Robot Operations Center. This enterprise-class Java code allows our users to do everything from monitoring to managing their robots in real-time while they are out in the field.

Who You Are:

• Java programming experience, preferably Java 10 or later
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience collaborating with others: express new ideas and happily listen to others
• Understanding of event-oriented systems
• Experience and knowledge of multi-threaded systems
• Experience with microservices architectures
• Bad habit of writing lots of relevant, useful test code
• Experience with Git or other version control systems 

Bonus:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science
• Experience working on systems that run in AWS
• Understand publish/subscribe architectures
• Experience with Python
• Experience with Gradle
• Experience with SQL databases
• Experience with RabbitMQ and/or MQTT
