Java/Groovy Developer II
 

Responsibilities include :
• Work with Product Ownership to understand requirements, and develop them into working
features
• Architect and design solutions that are performant and maintainable
• Mentor junior engineers
• Partner with the UI development team to develop API calls and back end functionality
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance Engineers to ensure and enforce software quality
• Participate in planning and design sessions
• Work with stake holders to create really awesome stuff

Skills and Experience :
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Web applications development experience 5+
• Software development experience 5+
• Java 5+
• Web services development experience using REST, JSON, XML 5+
• Version control systems experience (Git and Atlassian suite) 5+
• Proven history with data structures, algorithms, and OO Design
• Experience coaching and mentoring junior developers
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
• Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities
• Experience unit testing code
