The Head of Information Security  is a critical member of our technology leadership team, reporting to the SVP of Engineering at Guild. In this role, you will drive our overall Information Security program, which includes Security Operations, Security Policy, Controls and Training and Risk and Compliance. 

This role will be a great fit for you if you have a strong understanding and passion for enterprise security and compliance, as well as user data privacy and security needs. 

As Head of Information Security, you will:

• Drive the strategy and vision building out the company’s information security program and roadmap
• Work closely with engineering to develop and drive adoption of security best practices throughout the cloud architecture and CI/CD pipeline
• Communicate and manage our information security vision and strategy to all levels of company stakeholders
• Influence and drive consistency across multiple data initiatives across the organization
• Partner with sales, legal and risk/compliance teams to manage external security reviews and regulatory requirements such as FERPA, CCPA, GDPR, SOC-1, etc..

In addition to reporting to Jess Rusin, in this role you will collaborate with other Guild leaders including: Bijal Shah (CPO), T.J. Crowson (Legal), Dan Wobbekind (Legal), & Mae Podesta (SVP Marketplace Operations and Payments)

You are a strong fit for this role if you have:

• Prior experience leading and building information security teams and programs
• Experience with security governance, including PCI DSS, SOC2 and state regulations
• Ability to perform technical risk assessments, triage security-testing results and manage security response actions
