We're looking for a Head of Engineering to lead our engineering team, building and scaling a platform and product experience that creates joy by helping people discover and honor the meaningful in their lives. You’ll partner with our Chief Product Officer, as well as others on our product and engineering teams and with leaders across the company. We’re looking for an expert builder of teams with a progression of management scope and technical experience, sharp coding skills, and a passion for managing talented engineers and shipping successful products in a dynamic environment. You’ll create the organizational conditions where engineering excellence delivers sustained business impact.

The Day-to-Day

• Set and drive the technical direction for Artifact Uprising in a fast-paced environment
• Lead, inspire, and motivate, as well as develop and grow a team of engineers
• Influence product strategy and shape our product development approach and culture
• Be technically hands-on, when needed
• Scale the engineering team through hiring, development, and org design
• Partner with leaders across the company to build exceptional product experiences and drive business impact
• Be responsible for the overall success of complex technical projects

Qualifications

• Experience being a leader and people manager of high-functioning engineering teams composed of multiple disciplines, as well as technically hands-on
• Experience leading technically challenging, cross-functional projects end-to-end in dynamic environments
• Adept at fostering partnerships up, down, and across teams, functions, and departments
• Experience building successful products as well as the infrastructure and operations required to effectively support those efforts
• 8+ years of work experience in software engineering, including 4+ years of proven hands-on technical management experience of software engineers
• BS/MS in Computer Science (or work experience, in lieu of degree)
