Four Winds Interactive is seeking a Hardware Solutions Engineer I – Product Certification to join our Hardware Solutions Team. This position is responsible for testing computer, display and peripheral hardware to evaluate compatibility with FWI software applications. The Hardware Solutions Engineer I – Product Certification, provides a critical service to the organization by certifying devices that support end-to-end digital signage solutions for FWI customers. The Hardware Solutions Engineer is not a management position.

 

The compensation package will be aligned to each candidate’s experience and qualifications. All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Build and setup hardware test environments
• Administer hardware tests on a variety of endpoint, display, and peripheral devices
• Install, configure and deploy FWI software application per testing requirements
• Document all test cases, test results, hardware diagrams, and method of procedure
• Effectively communicate test results and recommendations to customers and FWI team
• Manage project/product test notes in Salesforce
• Prioritize assigned projects for timely completion
• Documents test results and reports out to multiple team members with the results. 
• Research and develop hardware solutions based on customer needs
• Create, develop, and modify scripts to automate device configuration process
• Respond quickly to customer hardware escalation
• Provide technical guidance to other engineers and/or technicians
• Create and deliver technical and non-technical presentations for FWI team
• Develop and maintain an understanding of FWI customer business needs to facilitate informed hardware recommendations
• Periodically travel to customer sites for implementations, scoping, and support
• Periodic work beyond business hours to ensure completion of assigned projects and support FWI customers
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Requirements for Success:

• Installation, setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 operating systems
• Installation, setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of Android, iOS, Brightsign, and SoC devices
• Basic AV understanding to include: display resolutions, cabling, video walls and audio technologies
• Understand core networking concepts, including TCP/IP, IP Addressing, subnets, VLANs and routing
• Design repeatable tests
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Deliver exceptional customer service and support
• Critical analysis of complex problems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Microsoft Office Suite—Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com
• Ability to manage deadlines on assigned configuration projects
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs

Helpful for Success:

• 1+ years of experience in digital signage or related industry with a focus on hardware testing, certification or implementation
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Networking+, Microsoft MCSE or similar
