Hardware and Systems Development Engineer
Crusoe Energy is on a mission to unlock value in stranded energy resources through the power of computation. Take a look at what we do! - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rlt8k71Quqw We aim to align the long term interests of the climate with the future of global computing infrastructure. As data centers consume an exponentially growing power footprint to deliver technology to all connected devices, we are inspired by making sure that the energy meeting that demand is sourced in an environmentally responsible fashion. Crusoe co-locates mobile data centers with stranded energy resources, like flare gas and underloaded renewables, to deliver low-cost, carbon-negative distributed computing solutions. Crusoe Cloud is a managed cloud services platform powered by stranded energy that enables climate-friendly innovation in computationally intensive fields including artificial intelligence, graphics rendering and computational biology.
Crusoe is seeking a hardware development engineer to be part of the development of High Performance Computing (HPC) hardware systems. The lead hardware engineer assists with the development effort creating innovative solutions that are disrupting the high-performance computing market. Crusoe is innovating at the systems architecture, firmware, and mechanical/thermal management level to drive industry leading performance. The results will support Crusoe’s clean energy mission and drive competitive advantage.
Upon joining our team as the hardware engineer, you will be directly responsible for assisting with PCB prototype bring-up, debug, and testing of the overall systems design. You will interface with the electrical, firmware and mechanical/thermal teams. You are an integral part of the entire process, especially involved in the system development, prototypes, factory bring up, and test/validation cycles of the project. Expected to exercise significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.
