Graduate Platform Engineer
What you'll do
Xero Graduate Engineers will participate in a rotation with various platform teams to integrate new ideas, provide their perspective, and grow as engineers. You'll experience firsthand how each team contributes to support our platform, and ensures that it is reliable, fast, and secure.
Graduate Engineers working for the platform teams will have the opportunity to create solutions that improve infrastructure and development. You'll interact with AWS, Windows Servers, Linux, SQL, and Postgres. Over the course of the program, you'll also become familiar with content delivery networks, load balancers and autoscaling, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure tools including Terraform and Docker.
You'll use your development skills in languages such as Python, Go, Javascript and C# to build solutions that make Xero's developers' lives easier. You'll rotate between four different teams - including cloud computing and product development teams - where you'll gain exposure to a variety of engineering disciplines. This will prepare you to find which team best suits you at the end of the year long graduate program.
