Good Buy Gear is an exciting local startup that is reinventing the way clutter is monetized - starting with busy parents and used baby/kid gear. This position is an opportunity to not only gain valuable and sought after experience on the ground floor of a startup but tremendous potential to benefit from future growth of the company.  

Good Buy Gear is seeking a motivated, energetic, team player.  This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying and supporting both front-end and back-end software utilized by our team for automating critical operation processes and managing the steady growth of our business. This position is based out of Good Buy Gear Headquarters in Denver, CO and will report directly to the CEO.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Produce high quality, performant, testable code
• Collaborate with our existing contractors on development sprints
• Help define technical strategy and architecture
• Shepherd development and testing of the user experience
• Identify and address areas for improvement in the software development process
• Analyze/improve performance, scalability, and stability of the product’s user experience
• Translate business objectives into technical requirements using the Agile methodology (i.e., stories and tasks)
• Provide thoughtful leadership on next-gen frontend paradigms
• Work to make Good Buy Gear an innovator in the market through well-executed product decisions
• Customer focused (or obsessed!) mindset
   

Requirements:

• 7+ years in software development experience
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Strong understanding of web technologies: HTML5, Javascript, CSS, REST, JSON
• Experience in NodeJS, MongoDB and React Native a bonus
• Firm understanding of software development principles
• Professional experience with AWS
• Experience with Git and Github workflow
• Experience with Shopify APIs a bonus
• Experience with automation testing
• Passion for mobile and web app development
• Ability to work well in a fast paced setting
