Parsyl Inc. is an early-stage, venture-backed technology platform that helps shippers, retailers and insurers understand the quality conditions of products as they move through the supply chain.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

As a Full-Stack Engineer at Parsyl, you will have the opportunity to work across Parsyl’s software platform that delivers insights to reduce waste and improve quality of goods across the supply chain. You will play a critical role in designing and developing key features and user experiences that help answer questions like “Should I give this vaccine to a child?” and “Is this seafood safe to eat?”.

As an early member of a fast-growing startup, you will work with all members of the engineering team, including backend, embedded, mobile, and web engineers. You will also collaborate with the broader team and co-founders on building data-rich solutions that will be deployed quickly to a diversity of users and regions of the world.

You are good fit for this position if you are a highly effective and flexible software engineer who is motivated by solving challenging technical problems equally with understanding the needs of the customer. You are eager to learn and enjoy working on both front-end and back-end projects across the Parsyl platform.

Technologies Used by the Team

• Go, Javascript (Vue.js), Python

• AWS Lambda, S3, Athena, API Gateway, RDS (Postgres), Docker, Terraform

• Kotlin, Java, Embedded C (these are not required)

Responsibilities

• Design and develop full-stack features across Parsyl’s software and data platform, from inception to production

• Ready and willing to get your hands dirty and wear many hats in a fast-paced and ever-changing startup environment

• Collaborate with other engineers, CTO, product, customer success and other business stakeholders

• Look for opportunities to lead in a growing engineering team and take a sense of pride and ownership over your work

• Use tools and methodologies that help establish efficient processes for strong and rapid growth

• Assist in recruiting other individuals to build out the engineering team

Requirements

• 3+ years experience building software platforms, specifically SaaS and data-intense environments

• Highly proficient working on solutions that involve both front-end and back-end development

• Knowledge of software and application design and architecture

• Experience both integrating with a variety of API’s and designing complex API’s for enterprise consumption

• Experience deploying infrastructure and devops best practices

• Understanding of successful quality assurance principles

• Outstanding communication and organizational skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and experience
