Summary
Xyleme is looking for a Full Stack developer with experience developing enterprise web applications. As a full stack developer, you will be building and maintaining portals/apps that integrate with our product platform. This is an intermediate to senior position, reporting directly to the team manager. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong academic record with several years of experience in software development, with exposure to design, estimating, development, and testing. We understand you may not be an expert at everything, so you should be interested and willing to quickly learn new skills and be dedicated to continuous improvement of processes, applications and services, and be comfortable / willing to attend meetings and visit our office to participate in planning discussions.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing high-volume, low-latency features and improvements for a content management system application
  • Building, maintaining, and executing tests and test frameworks for the application
  • Resolving application and service problems, as well as fixing bugs during the development life cycle, or as part of maintenance
  • Participating and sharing status in daily stand-ups and team planning sessions as part of our Kanban development methodology


Minimum Requirements
You must possess the following qualifications to be considered for this position.

  • Experience with full stack development using Java, Node.js, JavaScript (Angular and/or React)
  • Experience accessing and manipulating data within relational and/or No SQL databases at a large scale
  • Experience using/developing RESTful APIs and services
  • Understanding language-specific concepts such as inheritance, scoping, type-coercing, etc.

  • RESTful services
  • OpenAPI standards
  • Java Spring framework
  • Test frameworks - JUnit, Mocha, Selenium, and Cypress
  • Amazon Web Services and technologies (ECS, EC2, Lambda, S3, etc.)
  • HTML, CSS, and XML
  • Web security (OWASP, SANS, CORS)
  • Git and trunk-based development in a team environment (merge requests, branching, push, and pulls)


Soft Skills

  • Proven and demonstrable skills as it relates to verbal and written communication (in English)
  • Ability to estimate work and track time on tasks
  • Ability and desire to focus on deadlines and complete work efficiently
  • Professional and friendly support skills to assist with problems and solutions

Total compensation for this role is market competitive, in the range of $90,000-$140,000 annually, DOE.
