We are looking for a Frontend Developer to join our Engineering Team. This is a full-time position based in our Boulder office.

What You Will Do

We are looking to hire an experienced React Developer to join our frontend engineering team in the Boulder office (or remote in the US!). Your work will be used by thousands of developers and consumed by over a billion end-users worldwide. Your main focus in this role will be focused on developing the Stream Dashboard.

This person will implement new designs and features into our Stream Dashboard. There is also the freedom and encouragement to work on every aspect of the application, including making architectural decisions. You will be expected to collaborate closely with design and product teams to ensure timely and stable releases for our customer-facing tools. A typical day could include discussing feature requirements and acceptance criteria, coding and code reviews, and usual scrum ceremonies.

The Stream Dashboard is a web-based user interface for customers managing their Stream applications. The dashboard handles a variety of tasks like creating and configuring apps, managing users & permissions, debugging, logging, billing & account setup, and a robust chat moderation interface. Users of the Dashboard vary from developers setting up an integration to manual moderators, or account administrators.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Maintain and enhance existing React and JavaScript customer-facing dashboard
• New feature additions and bug fixes
• Code maintenance and technical improvements
• Ensuring quality in the features you build
• Discussing and implementing architecture decisions

Who You Are

You are a team player who enjoys figuring out solutions to complex problems. You have a feeling for design and are able to translate the design to the product. You are familiar with the latest technologies in frontend development and love to stay up to date with the latest developments. You are detail-oriented, mindful of deadlines and you have a high sense of responsibility.

Ideally you have

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Frontend Developer
• 2+ years of professional experience with React.JS
• Familiarity with ES6, JSX, and modern Javascript build tools
• Have expert-level knowledge of CSS and Styled Components
• Have in-depth knowledge of HTML
• Have a wide knowledge of developing responsive/ adaptive layouts for multiple browsers and platforms, including desktop, tablet, and mobile.
• Focus on testing your own code and on committing production-ready code

Bonus Points

• NodeJS
• Backend development knowledge and experience
• Community contributions, blog posts, Stack Overflow, GitHub, etc.

Salary (for US only): The compensation range for this position starts at $90,000/year and may increase based on qualifications and experience.
