Fraud Expert

Looking for an expert fraud investigator to join a growing team looking to change the game in online lending.
As a Fraud Expert at OnDeck, you will:
- Performs fraud review and fraud mitigation activity, including review of various reports, review of customer account activity and analysis.
- Researches potential fraud suspects, including customer and vendor contact.
- Complete fraud investigations within required service levels for all origination activity (pre & post funding) as well as international investigations
- Provides reporting and analytics. Works cross departmentally in identifying, mitigating and reporting all fraud including potential fraud activity.
- Works cross departmentally and with vendors to review and ensure appropriate security settings for all applications.
- Performs periodic self-audits to ensure compliance with internal and external procedures/regulatory requirements.
- Stays informed of regulatory changes and requirements. Serves as a subject matter expert to provide compliance and risk guidance to staff members and addresses security and compliance questions.
- Serves a Fraud consultant/process development in support of existing and new product initiatives.
- Assists with audits as required.
- Ensures compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required the role.
Necessary qualifications for success:
- Previous fraud detection and deterrence, security/compliance, and/or audit experience
- Strong analytical/research skills
- Excellent written and concise oral communication skills.
- Strong problem solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work within deadlines with attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while supporting a team
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of NACHA rules, OFAC, BSA, AML & CIP
Nice-to-haves (not required):
- CFE Certification (strongly preferred)
