We are seeking a flutter engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for contributing to flutter analysis of XB-1, participating in flight flutter testing, and will be a part of a world class team.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ability to perform analytical flutter and sensitivity analysis (flutter, divergence, control reversal) using industry standard procedures and software (Zaero or Nastran), determine flutter margins, and produce design guidance 
• Familiarity with aeroelastic modeling best practices (aerodynamic panel models and simplified structural models), and experience correcting unsteady panel methods with CFD
• Performing Aeroservoelastic analysis on aircraft with digital fly-by-wire control systems
• Preparing for and executing of aircraft flight flutter testing, to include test point definition, telemetry processing workflow, control room experience, and coordination with the flight test team

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering
• 5+ years experience in flutter analysis of aircraft
• Participation in at least one aircraft flight flutter test program
• Proficiency with Nastran or Zaero
• Proficiency with MATLAB and Simulink

It would be great if you had:

• Supersonic delta wing experience
• Experience with Ground Vibration Tests (GVT) and post-test finite element and flutter model correlation
• Experience with development of certified aircraft platforms (part 25 preferred)
