LogRhythm is looking for a Windows and Virtualization Engineer to join our Enterprise Systems Operations Group in Boulder, CO. In this role you will have the opportunity to build and operate new local and cloud-based services that deliver our product’s intelligence and data analytics to our clients. A focus for this role will be designing, building and maintaining virtualized local and cloud environments capable of scaling with demand. You will leverage a proven track record of bringing new products and services to market.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement an operational toolset to ensure service availability.
- Gather requirements, create designs, and implement prototypes using public and private cloud infrastructure.
- Build and deliver the technology, automation and processes to manufacture and maintain production-grade solutions.
- Collaborate with other LogRhythm departments to plan and coordinate the implementation of complex system and software implementations.
- Integrate existing LogRhythm solutions into cloud-ready products.
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Proven ability to design and implement secure, reliable and scalable system deployments
- Proven ability to automate operational processes, including provisioning and de-provisioning of resources
- Working knowledge of Windows Server, LDAP/Active Directory and GPO’s.
- Experience with one or more commercial cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.)
- Experience with one or more hypervisors (VMWare, Hyper-V, Xen, KVM, etc.)
- Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell or equivalent scripting experience.
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet or Salt)
- Solid understanding of the infrastructure components: SAN, NAS, Ethernet and working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, multi-disciplined collaborative environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft enterprise solutions including Windows Server 2012 and higher.
- Must be able to take part in a 24x7x365 on call rotation
- Solid understanding of technology fundamentals enabling cloud – compute, storage, networking and security
- Strong written and oral communication skills with a customer service oriented approach.
