Zoom is looking for a key team member in the Enterprise and Software Architects Team that will support system implementations to build cloud solutions for our Marketplace initiatives.

As an Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for delivering the software architecture and solution design to meet the product and business requirements of our marketplace platforms. You will partner with Product Managers, Business team, Business Systems Analysts and Engineering teams to deliver systems at scale for both customers and Zoom’s internal end to end business processes including but not limited to Product Provisioning, Billing, Taxation, Payments (One-time and Subscription) and Collections.

This is a critical role, reporting to the Manager of the Enterprise Architecture team, with high customer and business impact, offering the chance to be innovative and to architect and design world-class, scalable marketplace solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Architecting and designing software solutions related to the billing, taxation and payment functions in Zoom’s Marketplace platforms.

• Utilizing Agile Software Methodology to deliver solutions iteratively and produce high quality technical design documents.

• Communicating architecture designs to stakeholders including development teams, business users, and senior leadership

• Collaborating with other systems and engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

• Researching new technologies and software products and participating in educational opportunities

• Resolving escalated support requests for existing environments

• Providing recommendations and best practices to the engineering teams

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related area or equivalent experience

• 10+ years of total software engineering experience, with a minimum of 5 years of architecture/system design experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrable experience with implementing applications using RESTful APIs and microservices

• Proficient in Java, including open source frameworks such as Spring/Spring Boot, and object-oriented design principles and patterns

• Experience with JavaScript, preferably with UI frameworks like Vue, Angular, React

• Experience with SQL and relational/NoSQL databases like MySQL, DynamoDB, Hbase, Redis

• Familiarity with popular message middleware such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.

• Experience designing or building marketplace platforms would be desirable. Experience integrating with third party marketplace platforms like Apple App Store, Google Play Store, AWS marketplace etc would also suffice and would be a big plus.

• Experience integrating with third party billing, payment and tax providers, like Stripe, Zuora, Paypal, Adyen, Avalara etc. is a big plus.

• Experience with cloud technologies and infrastructure like AWS, Microsoft Azure or GCP is a plus.

• Experience with SaaS Billing, Taxation, Payments, Rating, Provisioning and Reports development is a plus.
