What does an Engineering Manager do at CyberGRX?

This Engineering Manager will be focused on managing the delivery of a cross functional Engineering team.  Managing and coaching high performing technical teams should be extremely familiar to you.

What a day in the life looks like:

  • You will manage the day to day performance of a small cross functional team consisting of 3 backend Engineers, 3 frontend Engineers and 2 Testers.
  • You will build fantastic working relationships with your core leadership team, consisting of you, a Scrum Master, and a Product Owner.
  • You will be managing and communicating with a semi-remote (continental US) team, our peers in product are local and we have both local and remote Engineers.
  • You and your team will be using cutting edge technology to accelerate themselves, technologies like GraphQL, TypeScript, and Python drive our business -- this tech should interest you deeply.

What you bring to the table:

  • You have at least 3 years of experience as a technical contributor on an Engineering team.
  • You have at least 3 years of leadership experience managing a technical team.
  • You’ll quickly understand our business and comfortably communicate with both internal and external customers.
  • You will work to understand the team’s technology decisions while working to enforce best practices for software development.
  • You’ll be very involved in building your Engineering team, including screening, interviewing, and building offer packages.
  • You have some experience building a high availability B2B SaaS platform. (Strong plus)
  • You’ve worked in a start-up environment and understand the pace and demands of the business to scale effectively and quickly.
