Zoom Apps enables 3rd party developers to create and distribute apps that enrich the Zoom experience and enhance the meeting workflow to increase productivity before, during and after a meeting. The Zoom Apps team is here to create and extend the application framework development for Zoom Meeting, Zoom Webinar, Zoom Chat, and Zoom Phone on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android. Our team is looking to bring on an Engineering Director who is passionate in the field. In this role, you will utilize your expert knowledge of web browsers and hybrid programming to scale Zoom Apps framework on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android.

Responsibilities:

⦁ Lead and direct apps and framework development teams.

⦁ Contribute to the architectural decision of the Zoom Apps framework on all platforms.

⦁ Accountable to the secure, openness, and sustainability of the Zoom Apps framework.

⦁ Partner with our product team, while also communicating with our customers to understand their needs and deliver happiness to our users.

Minimum qualifications:

⦁ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related

⦁ 10 years of software programming experience

⦁ Experience working in desktop or mobile client application development with C/C++, CSS, Objective-C or Java

⦁ Experience with modern web browser features

Preferred qualifications:

⦁ Hard working and willing listen to different opinions

⦁ Programming experience in CEF, IPC/RPC and multi-threading

⦁ Experience developing for multiple platforms

⦁ Experience with specialist domains: real-time collaboration application development, instant messaging application development, SIP application development, third party libraries in C++, Objective-C, Swift or Java

⦁ Debugging and performance benchmark experience on desktop and mobile

⦁ Knowledge of sqlite, 2D graphics programming

⦁ Excellent foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design optimized for minimum binary size, maximum performance and large scale
