We seek a seasoned Engineering Director to join our award-winning team! Mersive is a profitable growth-stage company working in a global, cross-industry market. We are scaling our product development organization and need a technical manager to lead our world-class engineering team.

A successful candidate has strong experience managing engineers across diverse technology stacks including C++, Java, and web stack technologies. We want candidates who love developing people, who are passionate about bringing management best practices to his or her teams, such as establishing clear goals and priorities, accountability, and coaching / mentorship. Our engineering organization is growing fast and we need a director to ensure our engineers are simultaneously delivering production quality code while developing professionally.

Your day-to-day will look like this:

• Hold regular 1:1’s with engineers
• Conduct quarterly performance check-ins that tie to company and individual goals
• Work with the VP of Product to continually evolve engineering best practices
• Partner with functional leaders in product management, design, and QA to ensure optimal efficiency of execution in building product

Here’s what experience we’re looking for:

• 8+ years managing teams of engineers
• 10+ years developing software for technology companies
• Experience with C++, Java, or web stack technologies
• Bonus points for experience developing software for meeting collaboration or video conferencing companies, or developing video streaming, networking, or graphics based software
