Engineering Aide I - Manufacturing
What You’ll Do:
- Under the supervision of an engineering manager or designated engineer, provides technical and administrative support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
- Perform a variety of assignments requiring a knowledge of aerospace manufacturing.
- Assist and support engineering, production, etc., in the development, testing, and assembly of a wide variety of company products and systems.
- Gather, maintain, format, compile, manipulate data, such as BOMs and engineering design changes.
- Perform planning of production tasks, anticipate program needs, and expedite material and tool requirements for production, manufacturing or assembly operations.
- Review engineering drawings for identification of parts, materials and tooling needs.
- Plan sequential manufacturing and assembly operations; may estimate and generate production schedules to accommodate the program master schedule.
- Provide continued information to update project schedules.
- Utilize manufacturing engineering tools such as IFS, AGILE and Velocity.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
What You’ll Need:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Associate's, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- Manufacturing, materials or operations experience in a business environment.
Working Conditions:

- This is a part-time position - 15-25 hours per week.
- Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
- May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
- May access other facilities in various weather conditions.
- Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
Relocation for this position is not available.
Compensation & Benefits:
- HIRING SALARY RANGE: $17.31 - $23.08 per hour (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
