We are seeking a motivated Engineer II to support our client deployment team, assist with our service and infrastructure implementation efforts.

The ideal candidate must have experience in the cloud service provider industry.  Passionate about IT virtualization(VMware) and automation.  Previous roles in cloud/multi-cloud, and/or IaaS industries is of strong recommendation.  Familiarity with VMware/VSphere/VMware Cloud and AWS knowledge is a Requirement.  Demonstrated use and understanding of DevOps tools: Git, Ansible, Python, Powershell, Bash, etc…. is a huge plus

Principle Activities

·Provision and deliver quality cloud services in a timely manner

·High profile provisioning activities including networking, compute, and storage

·Keeping up to date versioning and records in conjunction with client deployments

·Participate in an on-call rotation schedule

·Engage with SEs, Solution Engineers and/or customers to train and provide support for Faction products

·Travel to datacenter locations for physical hardware deployments (Travel not to exceed 30%)

Required Qualifications

·2-4 years’ experience as a (tier 2, minimum) support engineer in an IT organization

·Virtualization experience

·Ability to work independently and execute tasks with minimal guidance

·Hands on experience with upgrade and implementation best practices

·VMware vSphere - hands on experience supporting, provisioning and maintaining

·Experience with on prem, cloud compute and storage systems

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

·Troubleshooting of internetworking and firewall concepts

·Bachelor of Science from an accredited university

·VMware Certified Professional (VCP)

·AWS Certified Professional

·DevOps tool set:

o   Git/Github

o   Ansible

o   Python

o   Powershell

o   Bash
