Position Summary:

The Ecommerce Development Manager will be responsible for a four person Ecommerce development/QA team reporting directly to the CIO of the company.

Essential Duties:

  • Ensure “consumer-first” approach to developing the website, through smooth UX.
  • Both manage engineering staff and directly develop in Magento/PHP including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and support.
  • Develop custom interfaces between the Magento ecommerce site and third-party applications as required.
  • Ensure that all related documentation (business requirements, technical designs, etc.) are created, maintained and available in a central repository.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with other departmental managers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in Accounting / Finance, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.
  • Support corporate objectives and global growth strategies.
  • Provides recommendations for improvements.
  • Responsible for escalating support issues to third-parties, as needed.
  • Provide regular project status reports.
  • Predict project risk factors and address proactively.

Qualifications:

  • Must have 5+ years of Ecommerce development experience
  • Must be proficient with a Magento 2.0 eCommerce platform
  • PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Linux and SQL skills
  • Understanding of React and/or other client-side JavaScript MVC or View-Model frameworks
  • Experience in working in an Agile development environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Experience in hiring and supervising an ecommerce development staff
  • Excellent planning and project management skills
  • Self-starter with a high level of initiative and strong sense of ownership
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in the CPG industry preferred
  • Experience with both B2C and B2B business models preferred
