Reports to:           CEO

Responsibilities:   The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and driving the execution of technological initiatives, improving operations, managing strategic projects, and identifying new opportunities to apply technology to business functions or services.

Travel:                    Minimal, arising out of business necessity

Location:               Denver, CO

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop a clear understanding of how technology can accelerate growth, streamline operations, and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Own architectural decisions on enterprise technology, and manage daily functional performance
  • Manage full cycle development process, from planning through release including hands-on coding as needed
  • Ensure timely and proper execution of technology implementations and operating initiatives
  • Integrate applications with internal and external data sources or systems
  • Serve as technical lead on projects with customers, business partners, and outside vendors
  • Collaborate with customers to architect software solutions that facilitate service delivery
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, deliverables and initiatives 
  • Manage, coach, and develop junior team members
  • Serve as trusted advisor to executive team
  • Self-starter with a proven ability to work in a less structured environment
  • Passion for problem solving and outside-the-box thinking to develop creative solutions using technology

Preferred Qualifications:

Education

  • BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • MBA and/or other advanced degree is favorable

Experience/Skillset

  • 8+ years of total professional experience, including 2 years of developing software applications
  • Broad technical understanding of application development and coding languages (ability to code)  
  • Comprehensive understanding of enterprise systems (SQL database, CRM, performance dashboards, etc.) and ability to translate business requirements to system configurations
  • Experience maintaining a flexible technology stack to accommodate current and future business needs
  • History of optimizing data collection and identifying meaningful insights through data analytics
  • Ability to quickly identify key performance drivers and implement elegant performance tracking solutions
  • Demonstrated interest in business and experience improving operations relative to defined benchmarks
  • Proven ability to lead functional development of business intelligence reporting
