We are looking for an experienced Director of Software Development to help us define, build and deliver our clinical software application portfolio. These products are a mix of enterprise software applications and cloud-based solutions delivered on our ZOLL Online cloud platform. ZOLL Data Management delivers high performance mission critical emergency healthcare services to our customers ranging from small EMS agencies to large hospital-based healthcare systems. We also provide a suite of clinical healthcare software solutions that support and enhance the value of ZOLL Medical’s market leading critical cardiac care medical devices. As the leader of the Clinical applications team you'll join other outstanding product and engineering leaders to work hard, have fun, and lead the future of healthcare cloud solutions. 

We are looking for a broad leader who will own and drive development and engineering excellence across the suite of clinical software applications. You will have strong ownership over creating new systems and evolving existing systems including product definition, engineering development and operations, and team development. This is a senior leadership role that will interact with all levels of ZOLL and ZOLL’s customers and partners. A key responsibility of this role is to work closely with ZOLL Medical’s medical device business unit based in Chelmsford, MA.

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering management experience preferably with Internet-scale experience
• 7+ years’ experience with building and leading teams with an emphasis on scaling them to meet the demands of a rapidly growing business
• 7+ years of experience managing software  (enterprise and Cloud) development teams and shipping software-based products or services
• Experience of working in the healthcare space a plus especially with clinical care type software applications.
• Experience developing/delivering Cloud Services on a platform like AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
• Domain expertise in cloud technologies like microservices, Node, NoSQL platforms like Casandra and Couchbase, containerization, user-interface technologies like Angular, ReactJS, analytics technologies like Splunk, Elasticsearch, Kibana, etc.
• A track record of leading Agile product delivery teams.
• Strong analytic and quantitative analysis skills
• BS in Computer Science preferred but BS in other engineering or science degree’s accepted.

• This leader has must have demonstrated that they have succeeded in delivering high quality technology products/services in a very high growth environment where priorities shift rapidly
• Ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly and understands how to drive a high level of focus and excellence with a strong, talented, opinionated team
• Experience driving a technical global product and team with end to end inbound and outbound product responsibilities
• BS in Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics required. Masters preferred.
• Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills are critical to success in this position
• Demonstrated ability to formulate data driven decisions that lead to results
• Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects
