Job Requirements

NetApp is seeking a Director of Product Quality to join the SolidFire team. This role would report directly to the VP of Engineering, the NetApp HCI, and the Solidfire AFA product line. The SolidFire team has delivered, and continues to develop, an Enterprise-Scale Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) product based on SolidFire’s proven all-flash storage technology.

In this role you will be responsible for visualizing, driving, and executing quality initiatives, with a collection of teams including: test automation, release readiness, and solution compatibility for NetApp HCI. This is a great opportunity to lead in a high-powered team delivering an industry changing product within an extremely high growth sector of the tech industry.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Establish and evangelize a vision for quality for the engineering organization with a focus on predictability and consistency
• Ensure that product releases are delivered at market pace with the highest quality
• Interface with quality teams across the organization to understand common practices and leverage existing investments
• Oversee engagement with program partners to deliver on release plans with involvement in new product introduction (NPI)
• Work collaboratively with development and field teams to improve the quality of SolidFire products
• Operational governance for test planning, design, automation, execution, and reporting
• Work with technical leadership to enable an integrated test automation strategy including CI/CD

Requirements:

• Have a strong aptitude for, and substantial experience with, leading teams that test complex, enterprise level software and hardware products.
• 7+ years of experience leading teams of engineers in a high growth, fast paced engineering environment
• Demonstrated understanding of the full software development life cycle with emphasis on quality life cycle
• Experience, or working knowledge of, Agile/Scrum and SAFe
• Prior experience with software for enterprise storage, networking, and virtualization products

Education

• B.S., or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field/ equivalent experience
