What You Will Do:

We’re embarking on a green field, all new development plan to re-architect, design, build, and deploy our suite of internal and customer-facing applications.  You will hire and lead the SW Dev team to accomplish our ambitious goals and will report directly to our CIO.  We’re a can-do, small company and folks with a ‘roll up your sleeves and get things done’ internal drive will be successful at AAS Services.

• We’re building a cloud-based, multi-channel platform that will deliver our applications via the web, mobile, chat, and SMS.
• Offering a high degree of compelling technical complexity as we build diverse and broad applications (underlying workflow engine that handles business operations, application integrations, and system orchestration).

• You will have the opportunity to build your team and make your mark on Enterprise Application Development at AAS Services.
• The product roadmap includes implementing innovative AI and Machine Learning capabilities to our suite applications.

Who You Are:

You love architecting and building complex application software in a small company/startup-like environment.  You’re ready to take that next step in your career and move into this Director-level leadership role, while still willing to do whatever is needed to deliver stellar software.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• 7-10+ years of Application Design, Development and Integration experience
• Experience providing technical leadership on Agile software development projects
• Experience with wide variety of languages and frameworks (C#, .NET Core, Python, Angular, React, Node.js)
• Experience in Microservice architecture and development including REST based APIs
• Existing experience with container runtimes and container management systems such as Kubernetes
• Cloud experience with deploying and integrating cloud native applications with several providers
• 2+ years of experience building and leading a team of smart, high achieving 'A' players
• Past experience working at a startup or strong desire to work in a startup environment (greenfield, flexible, fast-paced, high growth, hands-on without tons of technical structure)
• Strong experience building applications with heavy business workflow and services requirements, application integrations and system orchestration needs
• Approach solutions with a “Product” mindset

Plus Skills

• Experience working in the Insurance, Financial Services, Payments or in a B2C industry
• Experience developing software both in-house and off-shore
• Ability to work either full-time or most of the time (80%) in our Lakewood HQ offices. We can offer the flexibility of limited telecommuting/work from home). Currently remote due to COVID-19
