About the Team VIZIO is looking for Director of Cloud Engineering to lead the Cloud Team. You will be responsible for managing the team, product roadmap and Engineering architecture of highly scalable, fault tolerant Cloud platform capable of processing millions of operations per minute coming from millions of TVs, efficiently store petabytes of data and provide fast insights from the data. This position can be located San Francisco, CA/ New York, NY/ Denver, CO What You Will Do

• Drive the team's charter, strategic direction and vision, based on business priorities and create long term Engineering roadmap
• Hire, retain and mentor a strong engineering team to execute on the product vision
• Actively manage competing priorities and provide a consistent and clear guidance to the team
• Develop strong cross-functional relationships, negotiate scope and priorities and align stakeholders on execution plan
• Partner with Architects and leads on the design and architecture of new/existing products
• Quickly come up to speed on current data pipeline, cloud services, identify areas of improvement and adopt industry best-practices for data processing, movement and management
• Establish industry leading design patterns around Data ingest, compute, lifecycle and consumption
• Build robust monitoring infrastructure, develop SRE strategy to get quick insights into various stages of data pipeline

About You

• BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 10 years of people management experience
• 6+ years of progressive industry experience in design and implementation of data focused cloud software
• Demonstrated track record in influencing technology roadmaps, aligning competing proposals with bias towards actions and deliverables.
• Experience with the design and implementation of real-time and batch processing pipelines
• Strong understanding of in-memory processing and data formats (Avro, Parquet, Json etc.)
• Strong knowledge of Python, Spark and kafka
• Good to have Experience: Kinesis, Redshift, RDS, SQS
• Experience with deep learning/AI using Tensorflow is a big plus
